Selecting your puppy:
We are heavily involved in the placement of our pups and help owners choose which pup would be best for their lifestyle, etc. First, we gather a list of desires/wants from an owner. Our placement of pups is based primarily off of temperament and personality. Our desire is that the temperament of each pup fit the family. No one knows our pups better than we do. Once the pups personality has developed, we start discussing which is best suited for each owner. This is done at 6 weeks. This doesn’t mean that we make anyone take a puppy that they don’t want. We then tell the owner which pup(s) are most suitable for their lifestyle/needs and the owner will choose from those pup(s).
In the past we have discussed pup personality with owners prior to them choosing and allowed them to make the selection of their choice, BUT we feel some owners have chose strictly based off of coat/eye color and therefore may have not chose a pup that meets their needs. This is not fair to the pup or the owner for long term happiness. We never sell a pup strictly based off coat color or eye color. This could be problematic and we want to avoid placing pups in homes that are not suitable. We only want our pups to go to the most appropriate homes and have the best life possible. We carefully evaluate each owner’s desires and wants in a pup, making sure they receive a pup that will meet their needs. This very well could mean that the pups we think would fit with your family would be the ones you choose as well. If for some reason there isn’t a pup that matches with your personality desires, you may choose from the next litter. We will never force an owner to take a pup they don’t want. It is our hope and main goal that everyone is able to adopt the puppy they want!
